With the aim of increasing cooperation between both countries, the Special Operations Groups No. 1 and No. 2 of the Peruvian Navy, along with members of Operational Detachment Alpha ODA-775 of the 7th Special Forces Group of the US Army, conducted the “Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET)” exercise.

During the JCET, special platoons exchange and refine their techniques, tactics, and operational procedures, contributing to the strengthening of camaraderie between both nations. According to images shared by the Peruvian Navy, maneuvers included amphibious infiltration using inflatable boats, simulated combat casualty rescues, mortar firing, and night amphibious assaults.

This edition of the JCET comes amid increasing involvement of US special operations troops in the region. Notably, US troops participated in high-altitude shooting techniques training in Jauja, Peru.

In this context, US troops conducted a JCET exercise in March with the “Lautaro” Special Operations Brigade of the Chilean Army, focusing on standardizing procedures to facilitate the deployment of both units in a joint and combined mission across different geographical areas.
