As part of the operational activities of the IV Airborne Brigade, units from the Argentine Army and Air Force conducted an air cooperation exercise in the province of Córdoba. As is customary, the operations were carried out from the Military Aviation School, with La Mezquita airfield designated as the drop zone.

Similar to other air cooperation exercises covered by Zona Militar, the recent activities centered around the embarkation area at the Military Aviation School. This location consolidates a significant portion of the Army and Air Force elements to carry out the operations. It includes the transport of participating personnel and all pre-jump processes, such as receiving parachutes, managed by Parachute Drop Support Company 4. This unit is one of the many essential links in the chain of activity.

The recent jumps completed the Basic Military Parachutist Training Course, which also included trainees for Instructor of Basic Parachuting Techniques, Basic Military Parachutist Course, Flight and Drop Director, Drop Leader Course, and Air Supply Preparer and Military Packer Course. Throughout the air cooperation and air mobility exercises carried out in 2024, participants were able to perform supervised professional practice, applying the knowledge they acquired as a culmination of their training.

During the day covered by Zona Militar, various elements participated in the jumps: units from the IV Airborne Brigade, personnel from the 601st Air Assault Regiment, Special Operations Force, among others.

The Air Force deployed a C-130H Hercules, the TC-66 “Polo Sur”, along with support elements at the Military Aviation School and La Mezquita. At La Mezquita, the Combat Control Team (ECCO) from the Air Force Special Operations Group was deployed, acting as a liaison with the Hercules crew to update information on weather conditions, data essential for the paratroopers and cargo drops.
