According to a statement from the Uruguayan Army, a total of 13 4×4 “Mamba MK7” Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) have arrived in the country. These vehicles aim to enhance troop transport capabilities and integrate a Rapid Response Force for peacekeeping operations abroad.

Donated by the U.S Government under the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI), the package includes multiband communication equipment, vehicle maintenance systems, and related training courses, totaling USD 13.9 million.

Manufactured by the American company Osprea Logistics, the APC is based on the Mamba MK5 and Mk5 Iveco models, featuring increased armor and mine protection capabilities.

The vehicle measures 6,327 mm in length, 2,668 mm in width, and 2,595 mm in height. It reaches a top speed of 105 km/h (65 mph) and a cruise speed of 94 km/h (58 mph) on roads.
