Continuing efforts to replenish equipment lost during combat operations in Ukraine, the Russian Aerospace Forces have received a new batch of Sukhoi Su-34 fighter-bombers. The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) reported this delivery yesterday, November 25, as part of state defense contracts.

“All Rostec aviation complexes involved in fulfilling state defense orders maintain a steady production pace. Our enterprises continuously improve manufacturing processes to ensure an accelerated increase in equipment production. The Su-34 tactical bombers are highly valued by the armed forces. Their capabilities allow pilots to effectively accomplish missions in any theater of operations, using both guided and unguided aerial weapons,” emphasized Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec.

Although specific details were not provided, this latest batch of combat aircraft delivered to the Aerospace Forces represents the most recent production by UAC and its aviation plants. Deliveries have been recorded earlier this year in April, June, September, and October.

Since the beginning of the conflict, various sources report the loss of around 30 Su-34 fighter-bombers during combat operations, in addition to several aircraft sustaining varying degrees of damage, reducing their operational availability. Russia’s defense industrial complex has been making significant efforts to both replace losses and increase the production rate of aircraft.

“Meeting the commitments of state defense orders on time is one of UAC’s key tasks, and our teams carry out this critical work with excellence. This will not be the last batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers delivered this year. These aircraft form the backbone of the offensive power of tactical aviation and have proven their effectiveness in real combat conditions,” stated Vadim Badekha, General Director of UAC.
