Babbitt, is a native of Houston, Texas. The A-10 Thunderbolt II is the first Air Force aircraft specially designed for close air support of ground forces. The crew of the Extender supported Operation Enduring Freedom during their over eight hour combat sortie by providing aerial refueling capabilities to coalition aircraft operating in Afghanistan.
