Vulcan aircraft of No 44 Squadron RAF carried out five bombing missions (code named Black Buck) over the Malvinas during the Conflict. The missions, to disable the runway at Puerto Argentino and various Argentine radar installations, achieved mixed success. However their strategic and propaganda value was considerable.
