We were tasked to find munitions that had been reportedly thrown into Puerto Argentino Harbour. We arrived in a Gemini inflatable and our diving officer Lt. Waters (yes Waters - RIP) asked the army guys what we had to do. Absolutely not one person had any idea what we were talking about.I do remember talking to an officer (he had (I) on his cap). He had intelligent eyes and offered me a cigarette. I dismissed this because I did not smoke but I know he understood English but would not let me know this. He is in one of these pictures I have posted.I will never forget him.I went ashore many times. As a diver we were paid $4.00 a day (1982). It was cold and a miserable task.</blockquote>
