There are actually two different types of helicopters here in Cyprus which can be broadly broken into the larger ones and the smaller ones. Thankfully I get to ride in the larger one which is a variant of the Bell 212. The main reason for being thankful is that the smaller one’s vibrations can make you quite ill if you are not use to it. Even in the Bell 212 you have to have a very strong stomach when flying, because the Argentinian pilots have to bank sharply in the helicopter to give us the best views of some of the UN positions, the side-effects of which are that it can turn your stomach.
