<blockquote data-quote="Brasil" data-source="post: 1974751" data-attributes="member: 25105"><p>Brazil to Sign Financial Contract for Gripen NG Project In London</p><p>(<strong>Source: <span style="color: #ff0000">Brazil Ministry of Defence</span>; dated Aug 21, 2015</strong>)</p><p>(Issued in Portuguese; unofficial translation by Defense-Aerospace.com)</p><p></p><p>BRASILIA --- Next week, a Brazilian delegation of representatives of the Air Force Command and the General Counsel of the National Treasury will go to London to sign the financial contract for the FX-2 Project (Gripen NG).</p><p></p><p>The contract is the result of negotiation setting interest rates, which were held in July this year and brokered by Defense Minister Jaques Wagner, with representatives of the Swedish export promotion and financing agency, Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK).</p><p></p><p>The agreed interest rates are 2.19% per annum, allowing the Brazilian government savings of up to 600 million reais. The Brazilian Federal Senate approved the project and the Ministry of Finance published in the Official Gazette this Friday (Aug. 21) the authorization for external credit transaction worth up to US$ 245.3 million dollars 39.882 billion of SEK.</p><p></p><p><strong>The credit will cover 100% of the commercial contract,</strong> <strong>without the need for down payment</strong>.
