Chilean Air Force purchases Sewage Treatment Plant for Haiti. The Chilean Air Force purchased from FIBRA S.A. the technology and manufacture of two sewage treatment plants for facilities in Port au Prince, Haiti. Due to United Nations requirements for the facilities of foreign delegations on peacekeeping missions in Haiti, FIBRA S.A. was required to design a sanitary solution for both of the plants requested by the Chilean Air Force. FIBRA S.A. developed one 17.5 m3/day plant and one 7.0 m3/day plant with low-weight, recyclable plastic tanks of high chemical and mechanical resistance, with a modern ozone disinfection system that ensures that the water pouring into the surface stream is free of contaminants.
