Noticia de hace algunos años, pero que pasó desapercibida: https://www.groupolympia.com/systems-sunlight-s-new-agreement-ministry-defense-peru/ August 3, 2016 SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT S.A.: New agreement with the Ministry of Defense of Peru SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT S.A. signed an agreement with the Ministry of Defense of Peru for the supply of 2 additional submarine batteries. The batteries, being constructed to SUNLIGHT’s state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Northern Greece (Neo Olvio, Xanthi), are characterized by their high technological specifications and requirements and are composed by 480 cells, having a total weight reaching 250 tons each. This is the sixth consecutive agreement with one of the fast growing economies of South America, as since 2005 SUNLIGHT, by offering integrated solutions, has rightfully gained the trust of the Peruvian Navy. SUNLIGHT, by continuously investing in the design, development and supply of innovative products and added value services, has gained an important market share in the global market of conventional submarines batteries, a fact that brings it among the TOP 3 companies worldwide. SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT exports 98% of its production in more than 100 countries and has left its mark for three decades in the global energy storage and power supply markets. Mr. Konstantinos Lafkas, Managing Director of SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT stated: «We are proud that a Greek product, especially one of advanced and cutting edge technology, “travels” from Xanthi to South America. Our objective is and will be to export Greek know-how and to successfully overcome the difficulties posed by the difficult economic environment. With this exact philosophy and spirit, SUNLIGHT, in only one decade, has produced approximately 20.000 cells for the navies of various countries and we plan to keep up the same pace».
