SS- Panzer-Division Wiking» in Ukraine 1943. The SS- Division Wiking was a Panzer SS- Division fighting in Army Group South in the Caucasus and Ukraine. The Norwegian in the picture has the Iron Cross, the Norwegian Flag on his right arm, and Tank Destroyer Icon on his left arm, and the Divisions Logo on him. •••• It had volunteers from Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. This man was first a British soldier in the Royal Navy, before getting captured after an failed sabotation attempt in Norway in ‘42. He became a POW, and were sent to Germany. He joined the SS-, and was one of the British Soldiers that started the British Freikorps. •••• Minchen fought against the Soviets, before getting wounded and were sent to a Hospital in Berlin, March ‘45. He fought in the Battle of Berlin, with the Freikorps and surviving the Battle. He was captured by the Soviets and sent to British Forces. He was trialed and sentenced to 7 years in Prison. SS-Division Das Reich», Normandy 1944, before Operation Overlord. The SS-Das Reich Division was one of the most Elite and Powerful Divisions in both World Wars. The Division was a Panzer-Division and was incredibly effective, and feared by the Americans and Soviets. •••• The Division only had battle-hardened soldiers, and Iron Cross soldiers. (First Class) The Division fought in the Battle of France 1940, and Moscow 1942, Kursk 1943 and Normandy 1944. The Division suffered nearly no losses in France 1940, and were apart of Operation Barbarossa. They fought in many big battles before getting sent to the Defence of France, Operation Overlord. The Division fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and the last desperate battles in Hungary and Austria. •••• On the 10th of June 1944 in Oradour-sur-Glane the Division commited a French Civilian massacre, were 642 people were killed. 240 were woman, and 205 were only kids. The Division fought in Germany suffering heavy losses, and surrendered in May 1945. The SS-Das Reich Division’s symbol is the Wolfsangel Symbol</p></blockquote><p></p>
