The USS Northampton (CA-26) was sunk on November 30, 1942 by 2 torpedoes during the Battle of Tassafaronga. This photo of her was taken in Brisbane, Australia on August 5, 1941. Note her false bow wave camouflage and her early CXAM radar on the mainmast.
