Considerando la nueva vision geopolitica Argentina y la participación como actor global ( en menor o mayor importancia) que busca, teniendo en cuenta la probabilidad de un próximo choque entre gigantes (USA / OTAN vs China y Brics?) , veo mas cercano, que fuerzas Argentinas terminen combatiendo al lado de fuerzas Britonas que en contra.
Tampoco olvidar que somos los agredidos, no los agresores, eso es importante también...

This move underscores the deepening defense relationship between Sweden and Poland, particularly in the context of heightened regional security concerns. The acquisition of the Saab 340 AEW&C aircraft bolsters Poland’s aerial surveillance capabilities and aligns with their efforts to modernize their military equipment.
The Saab 340 AEW&C is a derivative of the Saab 340 turboprop airliner, modified to carry the powerful Erieye radar system. This radar enables real-time detection and tracking of airborne threats, providing valuable information for air defense and situational awareness operations. These two airframes transfered to Poland were previously utilized by the United Arab Emirates Air Force before they were replaced by the more advanced GlobalEye platform. Despite that, the Saab 340 AEW&C remains a well-established and reliable platform for various AEW&C missions.
Coinciding with Minister Jonson’s visit, Poland announced a significant new order for the Saab Carl-Gustaf M4 weapon system. This order, valued at $1.24 billion, includes ammunition and training equipment, and covers the period from 2024 to 2027. The order is expected to be officially booked by Saab before the end of the second quarter of 2024. This additional procurement further strengthens the defense partnership between Sweden and Poland, signifying Poland’s commitment to modernizing its military capabilities.

Erieye es un sistema con varios usuarios, soporte vivo y modernizaciones.
Es un sistema eficiente y de costes contenidos.
Logisticamente bien, porque la FAA ya opera SAAB 340.
Los dos Argus suecos serán reemplazados en 2027, están operando, por ende si los aseguran puede ser con entrega en caliente (te olvidas de los gastos de regeneración post almacenaje).
Yo lo veo como una oportunidad para la FAA.

Yo creo que la pifió y habrá querido decir 2mil.
-Recuerde que los E-2 Hawkeye de Israel tuvieron una vida muy agitada en manos Hebreas
y cuando fueron dados de baja ya pedían vacaciones por eso cuando los adquirió Mexico
no tuvieron una vida muy extensa ya que si los Mexicanos querían seguir operándolos
deberían ser sometidos a una extensa ICM para reconstruirlos y al parecer no era rentable
por lo que los dieron de baja y adquirieron un R-99 Eriye
-Uno de los pocos E-2 Delta Hawkeye que esta descansando en el AMARC

Creo que hoy, y dadas las circunstancias, sumado a los dichos de Isaac, todo lo que pueda llegar desde EE.UU vía FMS, corre con ventaja, con respecto a cualquier otro material.
Con dos o tres de esos aparatos al servicio de la FAA, tanto el COAN, como la AE, estarían más que cubiertos.
