Sturmtiger (German: "Assault Tiger") is the common name of a World War II German assault gun built on the Tiger I chassis and armed with a large rocket launcher. The official German designation was Sturmmörserwagen 606/4 mit 38 cm RW 61. Its primary task was to provide heavy fire support for infantry units fighting in urban areas.
German 4 wheeled Sdkfz armoured car: with the desert terrain allowing wide freedom of manoeuvre, efficient reconnaissance forces providing early warning of the enemy's movements and locations were critical to Commanders on both sides.
The T28/T95 was designed for the United States Army during World War II as a counter to the German heavy tanks. It was also set to be used for attacking the heavy defences expected of the German Siegfried Line.
