Me parece que algunos van a tener que decidir que discutir o debatir, si uno hace una afirmación y le piden que la fundamente no puede salir con otro tema, sino no hay debate, lamentablemente algo que se fue perdiendo en el foro.
Anular un contrato es obvio que hace quedar como el #rto, lo sabe hasta un chico de cuatro años, eso nadie lo discute, al menos yo no, la anulación de tal contrato te trae perjuicios económicos y políticos.
Otra cosa es aseverar sin ningún conocimiento que el país está perdiendo contratos a lo loco, o que no le vende más nada a nadie, porque es tan fácil rebatirlo en ésta época con el flujo de información oficial a la que cualquiera, o muchos, pueden acceder, claro, si tienen ganas, pero a veces es más fácil revolear afirmaciones y después salir con otra cosa, así es imposible debatir como adultos.
El conflicto en Ucrania comenzó a fines de 2013, ya en marzo de 2014 se especulaba que Francia no iba a entregar el primer Mistral, el Vladivostok, a mediados de año, pasó el tiempo y no sólo no se entregó el primero sino que el Sébastopol a mediados de 2015 tampoco se entregó.
En resumen, desde mediados de 2014 el contrato estaba "arruinado", a mediados de 2015, se produjo la resiliiación y ahora se está en pleno proceso de embocarselos a alguno, a Egipto financiado por alguna monarquía amiga del golfo?
Por último dejo este gráfico para que no sean mis palabras las que refutan lo que habían planteado, los contratos y las ventas desmienten lo que afirman más arriba, o no?
Tendría que haber habido una caída drástica en las ventas a partir de 2015 si fuera así.

Vos opina como quieras, nadio dijo que no vende nada pero tu gran conocimiento no te lo deja ver, hablas de debatir y salis respondiendo de forma burda en vez de poner tu punto de vista y si tenes la info que demuestre lo contrario, y lo que dije no es ningun misterio el rafa donde se presento perdio practicamente siempre, tenia practicamente abrochado a Brasil y se lo saca el Grip, menos mal que pudo meterle 3 a Egipto, saca cuentas cuantos paises fueron usuarios dr la familia mirage, cuantos hoy lo siguen siendo sumandole el rafa , en su momento era la.opcion si no le comprabas a USA o a Rusia, hoy China ya lo supero.

We can read quite surprising things about the consequences of cancelling the Mistral deal with Russia in the press. Let's set things straight.
1) Would France be seen as an unreliable partner and lose contracts?
The pro-Mistral deal often argue that, would France cancel the deal with Russia, it would appear as a not reliable partner and therefore lose potential contracts, including one of 128 Rafales for India. In April 2011, the Indian Air Force (IAF) shortlisted Dassault Rafale and Eurofighter Typhoon for the US$10.4 billion contract. Since that, no move has been done and France is still hoping to get the deal.
India is very much aware of the reasons why France might cancel the delivery of the Mistral to Russia as it has to face conflicts with China and Pakistan about its borders (Kashmir). This is certainly the reason why it is not taking sides about the Mistral deal.
On the other hand, delivering the Mistrals to Russia would have an almost certain consequence of having France being put aside on the polish market of arms with a consequence of at least 12.4 billion euros of markets lost. “I can’t hide the fact that the Mistral (warship contract) is not helping us make positive decisions” about French missile shield suppliers, Polish Defence Minister Tomasz Siemoniak said in an interview published in the Rzeczpospolita daily". Note that the Missile Shield market by itself represents 5.8 billion euros.
The consequences of delivering the war ships would also be that the France would be seen as an unreliable partner by all its allies, losing its reputation.
There has been at least three previous situations where France decided to cancel deals because of exceptional circumstances such as the one we have nowadays with Russian open invasion of Ukraine. It appears that France reputation was not broken by the cancellation of those deals and that it even helped negociations with other countries in some cases. History tells us that this argument cannot be taken into consideration.
History teaches us that France already broke contracts for similar reasons and is still considered as a reliable partner in the arms industry. In addition to that, 12.4 billion euros of military contracts with Poland might be lost if the Mistrals are delivered to Russia. There are no signs from India that it is willing either to go ahead and buy the 128 Rafale or on the contrary not buy them because of the Mistral not being delivered to Russia...
France should worry more about the consequences of NOT canceling the Mistral deal.
2) How many jobs would canceling the deal cost: 0, 300 or 1000?
First of all, nobody is asking for the second boat not to be finished so no jobs are at stake. The request from oponents to the Mistral deal is to find another buyer than Russia, which means that both boats have to be finished anyway.
The Front National (far right wing in France) is using the argument of jobs loss to scare people and try to get them on the side of the delivery. According to them, 800 to 1000 jobs would be lost. According to the unions representing the people working on the ships, it would be between 300 to 400 jobs. Besides, according to STX which is building the Mistrals: "the STX France shipyard in Saint-Nazaire has secured a stable amount of work lasting until 2018" so there are absolutely no risks of unenployment for the years to come, whatever happens to the Mistrals.
But as previously said, nobody is asking to stop the building of the second ships. So, the correct number is... 0 jobs.
3) How much France would have to pay back to Russia: 951 million or 12 billion euros?
Before Francois Hollande's decision to postpone the delivery of the first Mistral, the number of 251 million euros to pay as a fine in case of non delivery was the only one available. After that, numbers suddenly increased to crazy amounts up to 10 billion euros. Ask any expert in the arms industry and he will tell you that billions of euros fine for a 1.2 billion euro deal is simply impossible.
So, until proven wrong, we have tendencies to believe the 251 million euros that was cited for the first time on the 10th of August in the French newspaper Le Nouvel Observateur.
As for the amount Russia already paid to France on the contract of 1.2 billion euros, according to different sources, we know it is between 700 and 800 million euros.
As the French government is not communicating on details about the deal, we have no way to be sure but common sense leads us to think that France would have to
repay the 700 to 800 million euros Russia already paid + 251 million euros for breaking the contract. A total amount of 950 to 1.050 million euros...
Careful, nobody knows what the contract includes about the sterns built by Russian shipyards and this might add to the amount above. But as the possibility of cancelling the deal has been anticipated as in any other contracts, there are no doubts that the sterns issue is being mentionned in it too.

- In 1967, a French embargo was set up by the General De gaulle to prevent delivering arms to Israel following the six-days war. This embargo is decided even though France is building 50 "Mirage" planes and 12 vedettes (boats). As a consequence of this embargo and the decision not to deliver the planes to Israel to, France found new markets and was able to sell the Mirage to Syria, Egypt, etc. It also helped when France had to negociate with Saudi Arabia later.
- In 1977, the delivery of two "Aviso" boats to South Africa was cancelled following an embargo voted by the United Nations. Argentina ended up buying the boats one year later and, satisfied with this purchase, decided to order a third one.
- In march 2013, a boat built by STX which builds the Mistrals in St Nazaire was delivered to an Italian company. It had been originally ordered by Khadafi before the Lybian crisis that saw his fall in 2013.

Para Francia el affair mistral no ha sido positivo eso es obvio. Pero el que afecte o no a otros negocios depende de como esos países consideren su relación con Francia (y occidente en general), les importa muy poco las relaciones entre Rusia y Francia. Luego las ventas de rafale que se han firmado este año (egipto y catar) suponen buenas noticias para el mercado de armas francés. Es un buen año, porque han confirmado ventas de Rafale algo que no habíamos visto nunca. Se había comentado que estaban cerca varias veces, pero los tiros al palo no cuentan como goles, ni como medio gol. Yo desde luego tengo muchas dudas de que la dimensión política haya perjudicado a Francia, es más, viendo el tipo de ventas que han hecho creo que el componente político ha sido clave para las ventas, particularmente en el caso de egipto. Lo de India es un quiero y no puedo desde el momento en que quieres gastarte 10 billones de dolares en 126 aviones, conseguir full de transferencias y seleccionas a Rafale y Eurofighter como finalistas. Son aviones muy caros y al redimensionar el pedido Francia empieza a tener opciones de exportarlo, claro que 8 billones por 36 aviones sigue siendo mucha pasta y por eso la cosa sigue estancada. No es un problema político (sobre todo viendo la buena disposición por ambas partes), es un problema económico. India debió apostar ruso, Gripen o F16, pero los ojos le hicieron chiribitas con Rafale y Eurofighter, aviones que no puede pagar y ahí siguen.
Tanto la política exterior como la interior van a dos velocidades diferentes, en el plano internacional diría, por ahora, costo cero, en el plano interno diría que estamos en tablas (yo no juego al ajedrez, bah nunca lo jugué, empatados? empardados?), el contrato fue firmado por un gobierno anterior pese a los reparos señalados en ese momento a Sarkozy y la resiliación por Hollande, los dos grandes partidos se tiran munición liviana, un ejemplo es que un diputado socialista le revoleaba a un ex-UMP, actuales Républicains "nosotros no le hubiéramos vendido nunca a los rusos" a lo que le contestaban, "claro, a los rusos no, pero le vendés a Qatar y entregás rutas a aeropuertos de la metrópoli que compiten con Air France"; el que salió con los cañones es la ultraderecha de Le Pen, de gran afinidad y acercamiento al poder ruso, que obviamente tiene mucho menos que perder y el artículo subido más arriba por seba Concordia, aunque está desactualizado, señala puntos interesantes.
En la parte económica sólo mencionan el Rafale, pero no se olviden de la FREMM de DCNS vendida a Egipto, el mismo que hizo la ingeniería del proyecto Mistral, y el armamento asociado a estas ventas, hay un derrame de dinero y futuros trabajos sobre el cluster militar francés que por un tiempo largo no se va a sentir el costo por haberse negado a entregar los Mistral, y si se cierra la venta de 36 Rafale a India y algún otro contrato más, ni este gobierno ni el próximo van a tener problemas para cumplir la LPM 2014-2019 (Ley de programación militar). Y si se puede vender antes de fin de año aunque sea uno de los Mistral rusos creo que será una victoria del tandem Le Drian/Fabius, ministros de Defensa y de RREE.
Y ya lo mencioné en otra discusión, el PDG de Dassault dijo sobre el contrato indio "prefiero vender 36 Rafale todos construidos en Francia sin transferencias tecnológicas que 126 aparatos con transferencias tecnológicas de los cuales sólo 18 serían construidos en Francia" y yo agrego "y sacarnos de encima a los impresentables de HAL", la empresa estatal india que nunca pudo asegurar ni tiempos ni calidad del Rafale made in India.

Francia sale casi empatado, euros más euros menos, el acuerdo sería por 950 millones de euros e incluye la formación de las tripulaciones, lo que queda por ver es la cuestión armamento, afuera de este contrato.
Para ir pensando ya que un BPC base c/aire lleva dos sistemas de misiles Simbad, cuatro ametralladoras Browning M2 de 12,7mm y dos cañones de 20mm Narwhal.
P.D: a la moderación, bah, de @SnAkE_OnE para abajo cualquiera, podrían cerrar esta discusión, creo que a partir de ahora lo que se discuta se hará en la Marina de Egipto, los Mistral rusos han muerto definitivamente.
