Come on ken, can't you see it?
The two pixels between the radar dome and that gray square.

Vamos, Ken, no lo podes ver?
Son eso 2 pixeles entre el domo del radar y el cuadrado gris ese.

I did a quick zoom on my iphone and it seemed obvious to me. The other give away is the amount of rust around the port anchor. I did get to go on Invincible a few days after her return. Apart from expected wear and tear she looked as good as new.

OK. I give up. It can only be Invincible as Illustrious was still in the UK on an accelerated work-up at that time.

I have also seen a good picture of Invincible in Puerto Groussac (Port William) out side Stanley after the end of hostilities.

It is Invincible. It was taken on the day Illustrious took over command.

I have served in both ships; Invincible being the best!

Hello everyone,

since things have gone a bit quiet on here, I was wondering if we could hear some more from any Mt. Longdon veterans out there? Would anyone care to share their memories from this battle?

Regards to all,

Steve

Hola a todos,

ya que las cosas estan un poco tranquilas aquí, me preguntaba si los veteranos pueden contar acerca de Monte Longdon
¿a alguno le interesaria compartir sus recuerdos de esta batalla?

saludos a todos,

Steve

Annoyed

I sent the items of uniform to Argentina two weeks ago by Royal Mail. They have not got there yet and I have a feeling they will never get there.

I am so upset and annoyed.

Griffiths, we were missing you. Don't lose your hope with Royal Mailing.

Have you enjoyed the holidays in Turkey??? Nice weather in Europe at this moment.

See you around ZM.

Ken, when was the HMS Cardiff decommissined???
Is any Type 42 batch one which fought in the war still in service???

There are some information about sending our Type 42 Santisima Trinidad to the Rosario port as a floating museum.
The other Type 42 the ARA Hercules was modified for Command Ship duties.

Seriously Ken, don't lose hope yet with the post - I think the link to Argentina is a tad slow in general - I ordered something from there last year and it took 4-5 weeks. Hopefully in this case that is all that is happening in reverse.

I was 1st Radio Officer on B/M Río Carcarañá. We were shoot on may 16th, at King Port, near Isla Soledad/East F. by 3 Harriers. Do you know who pilots/sq did that attack?
Thanks a lot.
