Si, pero el concepto es distinto.
Vos en un avion CAS haces una pasada, largas las bombas, y te vas
Y en un helo, no tenes gran poder de fuego, y es quiza mas vulnerable.
El cañonero nacio de la idea de poder tener un gran poder de fuego (el AC-47 nacio con 3 Minigun de 7.62mm) concentrado, y con la orbita circular, poder disparar de manera constante sobre el objetivo, y al ser derivado de un transporte, le daba mayor autonomia para poder esperar el llamado de apoyo, mayor capacidad de cargar municion, y tambien poder contar con mas armas de tubo.
