Este curioso y poco ortodoxo avión voló en 1942, pero realmente no tengo mucha información sobre el mismo, solo que se llama Eshelman Flying Lenguado, Critter Flying lo tome del blog:

A line of FM-1 Wildcats and TBM-1 Avengers from Composite Squadron (VC) 42 pictured during loading on board the carrier Guadalcanal (CVE 60) at Naval Air Station (NAS) San Diego, California, on October 31, 1943. Guadalcanal would make her way to Norfolk, Virginia, via the Panama Canal and spend the war operating in the Atlantic Theater, where she received the Presidential Unit Citation for her actions in antisubmarine warfare, including her role in the capture of U-505 in June 1944.
